Who are you? What can a picture tell the world about you?

Portraits, why do I love them? They're a time capsule of you, something to cherish in the moment and something to reminisce on later in life. Flicking through my Grandads photo albums I love looking through the pictures and seeing what my family members looked like long before I knew them, to see what my mum looked like at my age.

Before being behind the camera I struggled with having my photo taken, to accurately express who I was in that image. The power of the self-portrait changed that, in my portraits now I see confidence, humour, spark.

I can show the world who I am in the way that I want to be seen - if I can do it for me, then I can do it for you.
